In summer 2011 takes place the die 6th edition of the Festival DanceKiosk-Hamburg. After five successful years the Festival’s main focus in this year is "The Festival within the Festival" Tanz in Hamburg.
As an important platform for the dance in Hamburg DanceKiosk invites once more and even stronger as in the past years young choreographers based in Hamburg to show the diversity of dance in this town. They shows audiences their last productions. The main goal is not only to support the development of the young dancers and their productions, but also to allow and to cultivate the interchange between ideas and artists and to create a base for tour possibilities for them.
For this purpose DanceKiosk also invites choreographers from abroad. The education program is powered by DanceKiosk-Hamburg 2011 as well. The Festival invites many international renowned choreographers and teachers like Paul Estabrook from the Netherlands, who also developed teaching programs for many important world companies like for example the American Ballet theatre.
