WORKSHOP I

Photovoice, eine partizipative, fotografische Methode | a participatory photographic method:

Cristina Nogueira (Lisbon), a photographer from Portugal with a degree in Social Animation, works with local communities for social inclusion through participatory methods in photography and new technologies. During the festival Cristina offers a workshop open to everybody regardless of age, ethnicity, religion and cultural background. Participants are encouraged to tell stories that speak for themselves. The workshop begins on July 8, 2016 at 6 pm. Participants will be introduced to the festival activities and will then address different tasks. The workshop ends with a small presentation on July 10, 2016 at 5pm.

WORKSHOP II

The Best of Us (GE|PT|SP)

The Best of Us is a new professional initiative by the dancers, choreographers and dance therapists Viviana Escalé (Vienna), Jana Berg (Cologne) and Angela Guerreiro (Hamburg), who aim to work with different local communities. The Best of Us strives to create communities between refugees, elderly citizens, and children: Through dance projects the initiative plans to explore the integrative, creative and health aspects of dance and movement. Common ground for this project is the connection between art, research and practical experience.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The Workshop THE BEST OF US from July, 10th is reserved for the 30 children of the Renate Szlovak Foundation, aged between 6 to 12 years. This foundation has been grounded 1999 in Hamburg and helps children in need. It has been working successfully with other institutions.

 

Workshop Facilitators

Angela Guerreiro is a curator, producer, teacher, dancer and choreographer. She was born in Lisbon in 1965 and lives in Hamburg since 1994. Studies at the Superior Dance School in Lisbon (1986-89), and at the Center for New Dance Development (EDDC) in Arnhem (1989-91). She holds a MA degree in Dance Movement Therapy and received the Basic Training of the Moving Cycle, a body-centered psychotherapy. At the moment she works on ‚The Live Legacy Project – Film documentation’ to be presented at Tanzkongress Hannover 2016.

Viviana Escalé is a dancer, dance educator and dance therapist.She received her dance education at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, Spain. Engagements at the Volkstheater Rostock, Oldenburg State Theatre and at the Ballet Freiburg Pretty Ugly. In August 2015, she earned her Master degree in dance and movement therapy (SRH Heidelberg). She is head of the community dance 60+ at Festspielhaus St. Pölten and of the dance and movement group for people with Parkinson of the self-help group Parkinson Association Vienna. Furthermore she regularly gives workshops for people with impairments at the Easter and Fall dance festival in Salzburg.

Workshop Facilitator

Born in Regensburg, Germany, Katrin Nissel studied Portuguese Philology, New German Literature and Philosophy (Master of Arts) in Hamburg, Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro. She gained experiences of intercultural life and work during her studies and as an assistant professor of the DAAD at the University of Belo Horizonte. After working as culture managers since 2007 she is a Research Associate at the Zentrum für Interkulturelles Management & Diversity (ZIM) and a Senior Lecturer in  Cross Cultural Communication, Diversity Management and Brazilian Cultural Studies at the Hochschule Bremen. She also coordinates the academic exchange with Brazilian universities. 


 

WORKSHOP IV

  • Teatime consultation, join Maike from Zwei Eulen for a cup of tea and ask all your questions concerning funding structures for the performing arts in Hamburg and nationwide, formalities of starting out as a freelance performing artist in Germany, how to do a financial clearing and whatever else you can think of that a production manager might help you with.
