Reut Aviran
Born in Thailand in 1986 during her father's diplomatic posting in Burma and since then lived in three different countries as well as in Israel, my home country. Began dancing on a more professional level between the years 2001- 2005. Danced and taught at "Zooz n' Dance" - The Youth Folk Dance Company in Modi'in, and took professional dance classes at the "Bikurey Ha'Itim Dance Studio", Tel-Aviv. During the same period of time, completed her Diploma in Dance' at "Irony Alef" High School, Modi'in. For her high school graduation work she created a duet selected for a special National "Young Choreographer Evening" at "The Suzanne Dellal Centre for Dance and Theatre", Tel-Aviv. During the academic years 2005-2006, completed the "Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company" workshop in Kibbutz Ga'aton, Israel and worked with Yehudit Arnon (founder of the company and the 'Israel Prize' award winner in 1998), Einav Levi, Ilana Kalif and Martin Kori. Since 2006 studies at ArtEZ Hogeschool Voor De Kunsten, Arnhem, the Netherlands, B.A. Degree (Dancer). Through the last three years worked with Jeanne Yasko, Amos Ben-Tal, Ime Essien, Phillip Taylor, Janis Claxton, Neel Verdoorn, Erik Kaiel, Marta Nejm, Aryeh Weiner, Phylis An Gutelius, Tony Vezich, Mary O'Donnell, Thomas Körtvélyessy, Sandra Klijn, Marian Sarstedt and others. From 2007-2008 performed in: "Click the Link" – Jeanne Yasko, "The green years"-Neel Verdoorn, and in 2008-2009 in "Track"- Amos Ben-Tal, "Shortwave 1"- Jeanne Yasko and "( )" – Gabriela Tarcha. And during the summer of 2008, participated in the "Dance-Music Collaboration"- (improvisation and instant composition), workshop taught by- Katie Duck, Vincent Cacalono, Cor Fuhler, Oscar Jan Hoogland and Alexandra Manasse. Throughout the last academic year, she attended some of the Saturday sessions with "Magpie Music Dance Company". On the 17th of June, she performed in a short version of "the Match" by Lonneke Van Leth, and will start her internship in the full project with Ballet Van Leth Dance Company in February 2010.

Every year, DanceKiosk-Hamburg offers one scholarship to national or international dancers. The scholarship includes access to daily trainings, workshops and lectures of the DanceKiosk-Hamburg program. Kiosk.Scholarship was established to support the artistic development of national and international dancers.
