2006 DanceKiosk-Hamburg invitated international Solo artists who showed works on Modern Dance, Improvisation Dance and Conceptino Dance. Particularly interesting was the visualization of the diferent cultures: South America, North America and Europe. Four evenings long the public could watch dance productions from Hamburg, Berlin, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon and Caracas.
In a solo performance one cannot hide. It is about crossing physical and mental borders, to interest and touch the audience with it.

DanceKiosk-Festivals goal is to wake up the dance-community in Hamburg from its big sleep. With a lot of engagement, the Hamburger choreographer Angela Guerreiro brings to the DanceKiosk – start during the last summer – a high-level of workshop-program, followed by performances with international guests, pulling the attention on Hamburg over its borderline.

High original dance ideas!From Hip-Hop till Ballet: DanceKiosk shows the free scene what she can do. Many original and funny ideas for solo pieces. There is much to see at ‘Dancekiosk’, that will be open this year till the 29th of July. For the 2nd edition of ‘DanceKiosk’ Angela Guerreiro has expanded her program of events. During the festival experienced dancers will meet turbulent newcomers.

There will be dance in the summer. What would be the theater summer break in Hamburg without DanceKiosk? Just dead. That is why the meeting point for Contemporary Dance this year is suppose to bring movement in the city. And this year with an even more top class artist border as in 2005.

The excerpts from finished productions and try-outs from the solos presented in DanceKiosk were much more than just improvised fast works; they showed the aesthetics and the rich spectrum from each choreographic individual work. Like in the previous year the festival offers 2006 a mix of showings and educational program with lectures, workshops and performances for professional as well as for fans.

Nascent: In this way we will dance together in the future. Solo dance is something like telling a good joke. The points must fit. The performances in the frame of the Festival DanceKiosk at the Hamburger Sprechwerk transmitted this quality. Everybody succeeded. Despite of the summer heat and the World Football Cup, the DanceKiosk–initiator Angela Guerreiro was happy about having a full house. The interest, to take part of the developing process of choreography and performance is clearly big.

Antje Pfundtner with all her seriousness and technique can turn to be really funny. That is her great strength. A brilliant climax.
